journal contribution
posted on 2023-06-08, 05:31 authored by Adam D Darwish, Anthony G Avent, Roger Taylor, David R M WaltonC60H18 has been shown by 1H NMR spectroscopy to be 1,2,3,4,8,9,10,16,17,18,22,23,24,36,37,38,39,40-octadecahydro[60]fullerene, a crown-shaped molecule with C3v symmetry, and a sub-structure of T C60H36; both hydride structures are derived from multiple addition of 6 H in a constant pattern governed by the semi-aromaticity of [60]fullerene.
