posted on 2023-06-08, 05:07 authored by David DykerStudies of the impact of the creation of the EU¿s Single Market have indicated only a tiny `static¿ effect from trade creation, scale economies, etc. Best estimates of the accession of the then `candidate countries¿ of Eastern Europe into the EU indicate similarly small static effects, but a potentially very large dynamic effect of higher growth rates, providing that the countries¿ social capabilities can be enhanced.
