Roland Barthes's resurrection of the author and redemption of biography
journal contribution
posted on 2023-06-07, 20:11 authored by J C CarlierThe most misunderstood essay in literary theory must be Roland Barthes's 'The Death of the Author' (originally 'La mort de l'auteur', 1968).
