Superconducting–ferromagnetic hybrid systems with effective magnetic properties that allow the cloaking and concentration of static magnetic fields have been recently introduced. These metamaterials consist of different arrangements of superconducting and ferromagnetic pieces whose performance and feasibility depend on the involved materials, their geometrical distribution and the number of pieces constituting the system. In this work we study the performance of these metamaterials for magnetic field cloaking and concentration as a function of the number of pieces and their magnetic properties, concluding that there is an optimum range of parameters within which a good compromise between performance and feasibility of the proposed metamaterials is obtained.
