Abstract
A simple and effective double-thresholding strategy based on energy approximation is presented to choose the accurate boundary between the signal subspace and noise subspace in TR-MUSIC algorithm for microwave imaging of extended targets. The simulated imaging results demonstrate its strong noise rejecting and super-resolution capability and the detailed shapes of extended targets are obtained even from the single frequency and multi-frequency or broadband scattering data.
