Notes

This study merged phylogenetic and clinical data in individuals with recent HIV infection demonstrating a high degree of clustering of recent infections, thereby highlighting primary HIV infection as important to prevent onward transmission. I led the study from Brighton with input from University College (virology) and the Royal Free (statistics).
