Abstract

Starting with the definition of a kind of sensitivity, this paper -presents a series of formulas relating to the sensitivity of some essential vibration parameters to failure, and appraises these parameters which are used as the failure criterion functions. The paper ends with the development of ways and basic equations of identifying structural failure in time domain and frequency domain respectively.
