Originality: reports on a pioneering project of two studies over a 12 month period,demonstrating a pervasive tehnology-enabled outdoor learning experience, integrated with reflective activities, for constructive scientific enquiry. Rigour: Qualitative and reflective account of field studies with 20 pairs of students across two multi-day study trials. Significance: provides key account of the experience of using digital augmentation of physical environments and the new forms of scientific enquiry activities that were enabled.
