Abstract

Very few scientists manage to find a voice in continuing education journals because we have difficulty in engaging with the language of social science and educational debates. But it is essential that we do because social scientists are limited in their understanding of science. Collaboration between Mary Stuart, a social scientist interested in science matters, and me, a practising scientist, allowed a truly interdisciplinary approach to be taken in this paper on the important subject of science literacy in relation to current moral dilemmas.
