Abstract
Turning a new idea into commercial results is never easy. Making sure that the resulting innovations bring real benefits to everyday lives is an even greater challenge. This booklet highlights some of the initiatives, organisations and individuals that have done so much to make science and technology work in the UK, including real-life examples of British innovation at its best. It also provides further details of some of the organisations and opportunities which exist in the UK system of innovation.
