Abstract

Treatment of a dichloromethane solution of Bu(t)CP, containing a catalytic amount of TiCl4, with an excess of the primary amines RNH2 (R = Pr(i), Bu(t)) quantitatively affords the corresponding bis-dialkylaminophosphine P(Bu(t)NH)2-CH2Bu(t). P(Pr(i)NH)2CH2Bu(t) is structurally characterised by a single crystal X-ray diffraction study of its bis-trans-PdCl2 complex.
