Abstract

A primary and secondary research-based article bringing new evidence to bear on a subject of historiographical controversy. It puts forward a new interpretation.In my view for the RAE the whole Origins of the French Revolution book should be entered as a colaborative project, with its introduction and a chapter by me. This is together a more substantial achievement than this chapter, and is catered for in the guidelines.
