Additional Information: | One from a series of shape modelling studies to support model based TV. Aim to use scene coherence to reduce transmission band width for TV broadcasting. Originality: This is one study from a sries started in the 1970s on model based TV. Originality then was totally new. Others are now in the same area. Current work still exploring components that could contribute to such a system. Rigour: Exploratory studies: the real assessment will be the compatibility of a technique in a larger system still being researched.Signification: A large application area resulting from a new communication medium. Interdisciplinary: VLSI components, Visual delivery systems, Geometric modelling, Broadcasting technologies, Machine vision, Computer Graphics, Human Computer Interaction Studies.Outlet: Book chapter, selected refereeed papers from an International Conference. |
