Abstract

Robert Ransick is a media artist and professor and the creator of the installation project Casa Segura (Safe House), which is discussed in detail in the introduction to this issue (Weber 2010). Casa Segura is an artwork that combines a small public access structure on private land in the Sonoran desert in Southern Arizona with a dynamic bilingual web space that facilitates creative exchange, dialogue and understanding. Robert met with Cynthia Weber in New York City in February 2009 to discuss his work in the context of design and citizenship
