Mapping the policy and practice landscape of safeguarding young people from extra-familial risks and harms (EFRH). Discussion Paper 2
report
posted on 2023-06-10, 04:20 authored by Nathalie HueglerThis working paper considers key messages and findings from a review of policy and practice documents relevant to safeguarding young people from extra-familial risks and harms (EFRH). The review was conducted during the first year of the four year ESRC funded Innovate project (theinnovateproject.co.uk) and considered whether and how the emergent approaches of Contextual Safeguarding (CS), Trauma-informed Practice (TiP) and Transitional Safeguarding (TS) feature (implicitly or explicitly) in key policy documents. This working paper reports on one aspect of this review, mapping the overall ‘landscape’ of policy and practice in relation to safeguarding young people from EFRH, with separate internal working documents and external publications focusing on findings for the three approaches (CS, TiP and TS).
