Abstract

This paper is concerned with critical theory and market based approaches to the brands debate. So what has this to do with a volume on financial control in memory of Ken Hilton? We think that it has everything to with financial control. A number of papers in this book are evaluations of how financial control is being exercised in organizations, such as the NHS, in which previously other criteria have tended to operate.
