No more “business as usual” in higher education: implications for U.S. and U.K. faculty
The article offers information on challenges faced by higher education communities for funding in the U.S. and Great Britain. Topics discussed include increase in university fees in England in 2012 as a result of policy changes, increase in tuition fees in the U.S. resulting an decrease in enrolment at many public colleges and universities, and rise in for-profit postsecondary education in the U.S.
