Questioning the safety and reliability of nuclear power: an assessment of nuclear incidents and accidents
In this article the author discusses aspects on the safety and reliability of nuclear power worldwide. He mentions that the said nuclear energy is considered to be the safest and cleanest source of modern electricity. However, the incident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in Japan have begun to question its role in energy production. He also points out that the historical record of nuclear accidents raises concern over the probability of nuclear disasters.
