Additional Information: This prospective case-controlled study for which I held a Department of Health Grant, identified risk factors associated with syphilis acquisition amongst men who have sex with men, identifying areas for potential intervention by health promotion strategies. The research was led by me in Brighton with input from collaborators at UCL.
