Multimodal Feedback of Long Distance Running Performance with PDAs

The feedback of running performance is typically provided after the event. This paper will detail a system which provides real-time multi-modal feedback to the runner using audio and graphics on a handheld PDA. The system is designed for the beginning long distance runner. The paper will conclude with an assessment of the system and future work in the area.
