Notes
Originality: RASP is a domain-independent, hybrid symbolic/statistical system for robust grammatical analysis of English; the most widely used system of this type under active development. Rigour/Significance: System and publications relating to it influential in recent move to dependency-based parser/application interfaces and evaluation. Impact: Downloaded by 150 groups worldwide; used in best paper at EMNLP-CoNLL'07; led to a university spin-out; licensed commercially for text mining and question/answer applications. Paper describing first release (E.Briscoe and J.Carroll, Robust accurate statistical annotation of general text, 3rd LREC, pp.1499-1504, 2002) cited over 120 times (Google Scholar).Full text available
