Special issue on wavelet transform for condition based maintenance

Research in the area of Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) has been growing rapidly. Monitoring, diagnosis and prognosis are three key aspects of the CBM system. As a modern signal processing technique, wavelet transform has been increasingly applied to dynamic data processing for monitoring, diagnosis, and prognosis in manufacturing, and mechanical structures. The main objective of this special issue is to bring the ideas of worldwide research community to present the latest advances and developments in the field of condition based maintenance through application of the wavelet transform technique.
