Abstract

In this paper, a new Smith Predictor Controller scheme has been proposed. With the scheme it has been possible to control stable, integrating and unstable second order plus delay systems (SOPDT) which may possess a stable or unstable zero. The controller settings are based on the standard form of a third order transfer function having a variable zero for minimization of the ISTE criterion
